Live Q & A Event by Jason Learning

Jason Learning is sponsoring a live question and answer event with meterologist, Shirley Murillo on Thursday, April 20th at 1pm EST. This session is part of the Live STEM Role Model Events. According to the Jason Learning Live Event page, Shirley Murillo is a research meteorologist for NOAA’s Hurricane Research Division (HRD), located at the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory in Miami, Florida. She leads the Observing System Simulation Experiment (OSSE) science team. Shirley is a great role model demonstrating a fascinating and important STEM career that is applicable to all students – male and female alike. Be sure to register and join this exciting live event and submit your class’ or students’ questions prior to the start of the live event.

Shirley is a meteorologist at NOAA. She is awesome! She has been a long-time JASON mentor whose work is used extensively in the JASON curriculum. And, she studies hurricanes! Join Shirley next Thursday to learn about her work, career path, and how scientists are working hard to reduce the risks to people’s homes and communities from hurricanes.
