I am also on the blog team of the Texas Leadership Council of the Discovery Educator Network blogging team and was excited to see the DEN blog was nominated for best group blog.

* Discovery Education – Best group blog - http://edublogawards.com/2011-3/best-group-blog-2011/

The awards ceremony was a lot of fun last year. There are always naysayers but I think this contest is a lot of fun and this is the first time my personal blog has been nominated so I am doubly honored to be nominated with work involving two categories. Hopefully you too will participate and not take things too seriously and have a great time with everyone involved in making this.

When the celebrities say they are honored just to be nominated for an award, I am not sure if they are sincere but I truly mean it. Our webinar series is a labor of love and we receive only paychecks of the heart and when others happen let us know how valuable and credible they find our series, that means the world to us. Regardless of whether we win or not, you know that we will continue working behind the scenes to find the most knowledgable guests, on the current topics and trends in education that are relevant and meaningful to our attendees. Receiving an Edublog award would be icing on the proverbial educational cake.
